the clock on her wrist makes the ticking sound she loves so much as she walks home in the dark

she's happy

she had a fun time for once
a fun time with her friend that never has the time to hang out with her because she has other, now closer friends
she cares for her,
but they both know that their paths aren't as close as they were

but she's happy and she won't let that get to her

not now,
the clock on her wrist makes the ticking sound she loves so much as she walks home in the dark

she's happy

she had a fun time for once
a fun time with her friend that never has the time to hang out with her because she has other, now closer friends
she cares for her,
but they both know that their paths aren't as close as they were

but she's happy and she won't let that get to her

not now,

later; she says
she'll stress about it later

she's scared for the future, but she knows it well,

she'll have to embrace it eventually and confront the problems and pain

but later,
she'll worry about it later

she wants to spend a good time with the friend she has known for years
she misses the old times when they were inseparable

it's always in the back of her head
but she knows

she has to enjoy the times with her friend as much as she can

she never knows when they'll part their ways completely

so later, later, she says
she'll think about it later

and she keeps on walking with a silly smile on her face, swinging her ponytail as she walks
enjoying the moment and keeping the thoughts in the back of her head
later; she says
she'll stress about it later
