You know what’s fucked up? Me.
There’s this thing I need called Help.
I’m so messed up I’m not sure what I Need.
It’s too much to bear, this Pain.
We’ve caused it all with this thing we call a “Relationship”
You want me - us in therapy.

I don’t see how any amount of it would help, that therapy.
In the end I’ll still be Me.
But it’s falling to pieces, this relationship
We have, and we need Help.
It’s overwhelming; my Pain.
What do I really need?

I have no Godly idea what I need.
The thing I don’t need is therapy.
Because I can deal with my own pain;
With just me, myself and I.
It’s a wasteful effort, your attempt to Help.
What am I - or is it we?- supposed to do with this relationship?

You didn’t believe when I said I wasn’t any good in a relationship.
You didn’t anticipate all of our – my needs.
That’s why nothing is or can help.
Screw your idea of therapy.
It just isn’t Me.
It can’t heal the wounds that cause my pain.

I have so much pain,
It’s not just the relationship
We both know it’s me.
We just won’t say it, but we need
To. Especially if I’m going to get out of your idea of therapy
Even though we – I need a lot of help.

I’m really trying to get a ‘me’ type of help.
I’ll try to work past my festering pains.
This will be my own therapy.
We might be able to salvage this ‘relationships.’
I’ll figure out all that I need.
I’m going to fix myself.

Help doesn’t have to be therapy.
Every relationship has needs.
I’ll admit…..I have pains.
