goodbye

Thank you for all the smiles you gifted to me, and for making my heart flutter and squeeze until the stars disappeared into the sunrise.

August Sixth

There is a cloud that shines a color alien to clouds, and nights are darker than they were. Blood I have shed is powder on my memory. I break on these immortal, broken stones, and terror's dying haunts my metaphors. Everybody I have known is one man waiting on a half-imagined corner for an unfamiliar face that he has loved. The color of that cloud is named Goodbye, for it is raining, shadows, everywhere. The days have grown as delicate as bones. The loneliest god in the universe is walking, and his every word is possibly goodbye on busy corners.

Bye

I used to say hi But now I say bye I always think about how I will die But for now I say bye I know it's harsh But it's true My mind is at ease I once felt like I wanted too die But now I don't I have things too look Forward too I don't know why I felt that way But in the end I did I still do a little But not much I think about my life before I came here But when I do

An End

I have no heart for any other joy, The drenched September day turns to depart, And I have said good-bye to what I love; With my own will I vanquished my own heart. On the long wind I hear the winter coming, The window panes are cold and blind with rain; With my own will I turned the summer from me And summer will not come to me again.

You Went Away in Summertime

You went away in summertime When leaves and flowers were young, And birds still lingered in the fields With many songs unsung. I'm glad it was in summertime When skies were clear and blue, I could not say good-bye to you And bear the winter too.

I Prayed So Eagerly

I PRAYED SO eagerly, " Turn and see How bitter I have striven — A word and all forgiven." I prayed so eagerly. I prayed so eagerly — Not to be ; You turned and passed. Goodbye ! Fates smile for me, dreamed I — Yet I prayed eagerly.
