Your Fault

my sister can't look at me without flinching because the little girl was never saved from the torment despite my pleading promises.

Loretta's Monday

She glides In grey and worn red Alone in her height and With her silence Untouched Touching me. So old in her smile, Defined for years by A confectionary fall By the open wound now Of a sister Her world Where I have separated bangs And my name is Judy.

Bye

I used to say hi But now I say bye I always think about how I will die But for now I say bye I know it's harsh But it's true My mind is at ease I once felt like I wanted too die But now I don't I have things too look Forward too I don't know why I felt that way But in the end I did I still do a little But not much I think about my life before I came here But when I do

Rev. Joseph Williams

Being a Man of God and a child of flesh and blood my soul thirsting for truth and my body hungering for eat and drink realizing that the satisfaction of one depended upon the survival of the other and this could best be done by preserving the Second Baptist Church and that on the sisters depended such preservation you can understand why the congregation stuck together and why, when I died the sisters mourned and why so many children will likewise search for truth

Justice

Michael, come in! Stop crying at the door. Come in and see the evil you have done. Here is your sister's doll with one leg gone, Naked and helpless on the playroom floor. "Poor child ! poor child ! now he can never stand. With one leg less he could not even sit!" She mourned, but first, with swift avenging hand, She smote, and I am proud of her for it. Michael, my sympathies are all for you. Your cherub mouth, your miserable eyes. Your grey-blue smock tear-spattered and your cries Shatter my heart, but "what am I to do"? He was her baby and the fear of bears Lay heavy on him so he could not sleep But in the crook of her dear arm, she swears. So, Michael, she was right and you must weep.
