the flower and the weed
The flower is like the sun, brightening up my day.
The weed is like the dark, not knowing where you are.
The flower is like the stars, sparkling bright
The weeds are like the moon, with only one good side.
The flower as beautiful as a diamond
The weeds as big as a crystal rock.
The flower petals are like a fragile child
The weed's are like your father's unshavened face.
The flower is like a numph with gleaming hair
It flows along with the wind here, there and everywhere.
The flower bows like the eighth wonder in ones who seek upon it.
The weed grows through the concrete path unable to touch the sky. It's pushed and shoved and somehow it survives.
My eyes feast upon the flower
But heart goes to the weed.

Why Are You Affecting Me?
I lie awake Hoping, praying You will turn to me Look at me with those loving eyes But you never do. Every time I hope It never comes true. I don't know why I have restless nights Thinking maybe, just maybe You would hold me tight in your arms again I don't know why It affects me Or why you affect me The way you do But the truth is That is only the tip Of this ever melting iceberg.

I apologize too much They say I don't need to explain myself They say It's not your fault They act this way In truth I know But my mind Doesn't think so I was raised To apologize for everything There is no changing that I just wish You would understand That bad habits are hard to break You can tell me Over and over again To stop apologising for every Little thing But that won't change who I am So, I'm sorry I say sorry a lot Sorry.
There He Goes
That was it. The end had come. The time to depart drew near. As she sits on the couch Waiting Watching Not knowing what to think. Then he pulled up. Like a fairytale gone wrong. The story of a couple so strong Lost forever in a memory He walks up to the door. She opens it up. Standing there trying not to cry. The day she feared was here. As the door opened she ran to him. Almost knocked down by the blow. She cried. He cried. They cried. Together. Maybe not forever But soon they would. She would rejoice. He would rejoice. They would rejoice. Together. Their forever came.
The Choice
It wasn't her fault. None of it was. The grades gone wrong. And he blamed 'that boy'. 'Its not him' She said through the tears. 'You have a choice' he bellowed. 'Fine I choose him'. Those words now haunt him. Taunt him. Day and night. His little girl grew up. In one day. 'Why?' He asked 'Oh the choices I gave'.

Dance beneath the stars as you drink in the night. Let the thunder over take you as the lightening fills the sky. Feel the force of nature penetrate your skin, spin with world as the magic sinks in
