Biografi

John Freeman (1880–1929) was an English poet, essayist, and literary critic. He published several collections of verse, including 'Stone Trees' (1916), 'Poems New and Old' (1920), and 'The Grove' (1921). His poetry often explores themes of rural life, the passage of time, and transient beauty, employing a restrained, meditative style. Freeman received the Hawthornden Prize in 1920 for 'Poems New and Old'. He also contributed critical essays to periodicals and was a respected reviewer of contemporary poetry. Though less widely read today, his work represents a notable strand of early twentieth-century English lyric poetry.
