I walk away, along the riverbank thinking that I'll be okay, never to return, footsteps that lead away from the city lights and no one can tell me to stay because no one's in my head, and no one sees myself like I do. No one knows my fate, and no one sees the journey I face. If they did, they'd turn away, losing hope for me, but who is there to say there's no more hope for me? Next day, I look around to see just how far I came, never to return, footsteps that lead the way from the city lights to where I stand by the riverbank. There's no one left but me, and no one has the story I do. No one feels my pain, and no one knows it anyway now. If they did, they'd turn away, losing hope for me, but who is there to say there's no more hope for me? That night, I find myself in another place, another world, only to return, footsteps that lead the way to the city lights where I have shed so much pain. There's no one here for me, and no one pays me any notice. No one gives me pain, and no one knows how happy I feel. If they did, they'd turn away, losing hope for me, but now I finally know that there is hope for me.
