I saw a captioned photo of a beach somewhere in Italy that’s off-limits to men, where women can swim & sunbathe free from cat-calls & ogling. That night I dreamt about an endangered sea turtle fresh from burying her eggs who rose up from the sand in the shape of a woman & I thought, So that’s what they do when we’re not around.
