Silently Worthless

They teased her. They yelled at her. They told her she was ugly. They hit her. They pushed her. They said she was worth nothing.

She slit one wrist. She slit the other. She cried to god. She cried to her mother.

Her mother said she didn't love her. Her mother said that they were right. Her mother said that she was a bother. Her mother said that she should die.

So she got a rope and went to the park Where everything was quiet. She hung herself and her tombstone said "At least, for once, she was silent."
