sweet six-teen;.

She was a dreamer, so she dreamt.

she dreamed of it all, hurting and breaking her heart more and more with every thought

she dreamt of the things she could be, of the relationships she could have, dreaming of peoples promises not so-broken

it was her birthday

and she said she didn't care

but did she mean it? ,no

she cared, and, oh, she cared so much.

and so she dreamt and hoped

hoped for love.

she hated the month, dragging the days upcoming to her 'big' day she knew she'll be sad she'll cry she'll fight she said she didn't care for her birthdays but it was it was her sweet sixteen

and no matter how much she had dreamt of her sweet sixteen as a child

she had to just lay back, cry in an empty room and go to sleep with ice on her eyes

because no-one could know she was the perfect girl, : wasn't she?

happy sweet sixteen eli.
