Heat

Ezekiel DeanContemplative

One gives heat And one gives light One moves left The other, right

Working day Working night Shades of grey Black and white

Earth is round Blocks are square Look and read The letters there

Strings of symbols Complex meaning Pen on paper Ink is bleeding

Scrolls and books Torn out pages Paper people Paper cages

They look fine And slick and real But light a torch And watch them peel

Ink and paper Create worlds Fire burns And licks and curls

Like moth to flame And flame to ash Paper burns In fire bath
