Masquerade

The night cryles, bolding the scenery. I twirl and laugh, in my mask, not a care on the surface. Take my hand, and dance with me for just a night. I smile in the euphoria the night offers, With you I start rising, carelessly sweeping my feet away. Even for just a night, let's pretend we're all okay, Smile in a radiance so bright, free from reality, even for just a night. Discard all that bothers you, break the shackles holding you back And enjoy the night like nothing can hurt you. Even for just a night, let's dance the hurt away, smile brighter than the sun. Take my hand, and let's float free, pretend we're all okay. Sing a tune of freedom, and hope for a day like no other. Shout out cries of joy, the murmurous atmosphere broken. When the sun rises, and the cryle breaks, we all drop our masks Once again into reality we go, burdened once again. Dreaming.
