Nighttime Melody

After the sun rises the moon Shining so silver like a knight in armor I wrap my hands in the light Gently touched like a flowing creek The light flows and swirls around my fingers If I could only keep it in a jar Ever so softly shining, up in the lonely sky. Crickets chirp in blissful silence The air stops swirling and bumbling Busy bodies settle down for rest. The silence starts playing it's silent tune When all have quieted to listen I hear it's calm, this quiet tune so gentle and wise Whispering rest on uneasy minds The moon sings in melody till the sun rises again To relight his kingdom
