Places I Haven"t Been Yet

I'm missing places I haven't been yet, Places about which I know nothing. Places you learned about in geography But you never cared about And so you forgot about. Places you saw in your wildest dreams But dismissed them as fantasy And nothing more. Places in another city We can only imagine. Be they forbidden or have we lost interest? I guess we'll never know. I'm missing places I haven't been yet. Places you read about in books. Places they create in the movies Created to try to make you happy But they only make you sad. You know your town can't be like them. Life can't be so predictable. I'm missing places I haven't been yet. School's about to start. I can't dream much longer. And yet I cannot prevent myself From missing places I haven't been yet.
