Silly Goose You

Jocelyn KDreamy

It used to be a simple life Filled with mirth and laughter I used to run on little legs And take a fall or tumble. You used to lift me up and say “You silly goose, you” Took me to the real world And look around yonder. Recently it’s been A totally different scenario I grew up and dance about And can cross the road myself. You’re still mostly you As I remember it Just that now you say “Stop growing up, my friend”. I miss the way we played our games And how you looked after me I guess now you have another little goose To watch after, too. Please don’t think because I grew Means that I’m any different— I’m still your first little goose And you are still my shepherd.
