I'm Scared of Shadows

I was fine. With my thoughts. Untill the triggers you forced upon me came.

I was fine. For I knew, That it'd probably never change, it'd stay the same.

Then it happened. Something bad. That drove that memory down deep into my heart.

Then it happened. Bad memories. And oh like some sort of life "part".

And now I'm no longer there. No longer where? No longer normal.

It's burned, right Into, My heart. Into my mind.

And it's expected to be fine now! Like it's so easy to just move on!

It's somehow my fault, and my dignity's gone...

Mist and dark rooms... Breathing and grabbing. Tying, scratching and losing my mind.

Out in nighttime. Who is that now? I'm scared if I see just my shadow.

Traumatized and you'll never understand! It's not likely to happen but it still can! You let them win, you let them feel better! When the victim is blamed and they start to feel the same...

And now I'm no longer there. No longer where? No longer normal.

It's burned, right Into, My heart. Into my mind.

You won, and you get away- While my body is just left to sway!!

It's done...isn't it? I guess I'll just have to..."move on". That's not how it works. Not when you've left too many scars...
