THE INEVITABLE

My house has always been on fire Why does it only burn now

The wounds has always been there Why do they only bleed now

My senses are heightened My fears suppress me

They're screaming I can't decipher what they're saying But I know it's awful and dreadful I just know it

my senses are numb,

Lifeless

I'm drowning, I'm not agitated or frightened I feel no urge to swim or fight the storm coming I let it take me with it I just let it

You know what's worse I know something terrible is coming Something I'm not strong enough to fight anymore This monstrous feeling eats me up

Then I wonder when it all started I'm in defeat It's coming, once again I'm helpless.
