Suicide

Suicide. Such a simple word To hold so much power.

All my life I have suffered to have these thoughts Every. Single. Day.

But through it all I push myself saying Be strong, many people love you You can get through this day and the next.

And it worked for a time But then I found a new purpose in my fight. Help others

Some friends started to self harm To think about suicide I was their rock, the one that pushed them to stay strong and in doing so I was able to stay strong.

But then one close to me A brother of my own blood couldn't take it anymore He tried to melt his organs with pills

One final text was all I got "I love you and always will" I knew what those words meant for I had thought them a thousand times.

I was able to save him Although just barely And I will never forgive myself for almost failing, My own thoughts getting stronger but still I push on

So you can understand that when someone I love with all of my heart, A woman that has required silence of me, Talks, no begs for that sweet release of death in the form of suicide I snap

I break my silence, The only request she has made, To make sure she is safe.

If it were anything else I would have kept the silence, But not this. Never this.

I cannot go through that trauma again. I just can't....
