Friend Under the Bed

LizzyAnxious

Under the bed In my head Where is the monster? Should I be dead?

It crawls It creeps It sees me It weeps

The monster feels pity Then it gets witty

That's when I start to get giddy

I laugh, I cry All the while I think I should die

The monster's my friend The fun never ends Even when we get angry The relationship mends

Some tremble in fear They never come near "It's better this way," A whisper in my ear

I listen in bliss A goodnight kiss

One I surely will miss

Goodbye old friend You've served me well Through torture And pain Left me In the rain

Goodbye To my friend under the bed
