Fear

meahAnxious

heavy rain splatters like blood wind rips through the trees bitter cold seeps into your bones someone gets up off their knees

hallowed grounds lay on this hill a decrepit church, now abandoned seeking shelter from the chill you enter, feeling stranded

the church pews are all rotten old white birch filled with decay silent prayers long forgotten a sinking feeling of dismay

one lone candle, brightly burning the moon nowhere to be found either a blessing or a warning of creatures hiding all around

just as you reach the light darkness trailing from behind the flame flickers out of sight as you've finally lost your mind

December 5th a dream i often have
