Something Gave Me A Reason To Live - To The Outside World

MaskedSaintInspired

When I was finally of age, I wondered outside without a ride, I felt I was free, finally free, And I left to the beach of tides, But I was to come home, To be beaten up once again, After, I would be outside, In the punishing, dimishing rain, I just walked on the city streets, Unfettered by my bruises, Home, I'd try to stop the fights, Only to count my loses, The outside world was fascinating, Filled with unknown things, There was a lady who offered me sandwich, And drunken men who offered me drinks, I enjoyed the courtyard music, But loud noises reminded me, The fights that happened home, My life was not to glee, One day on my lonely walk, I found something in the rain, It was a thrown away guitar, And suddenly I felt sane, I began to play, From something out of my home, A Something that Gave Me A Reason To Live, A beginning, it truly is.
