Nightmares

oɥɔʎsdAnxious

Somewhere in the clouds The moon sang to me I overheard it Talking to the stars

I see A house, my house And You in the window You take one look at me, a look of disgust And walk away

The room shifts

I'm all alone now Looking through the very window you stood at Looking down at myself

Am I a hypocrite— Am I a hypocrite for looking down at that same girl who stood there, in disgust

I'm not afraid of the monster under my bed A room full of snakes Or a gun to my head

What truly scares me is this nightmare It's worse than I could've ever imagined Your face That stupid face you make when you act like you care

For I stand there shaking myself Telling myself to wake up Yet the only response I get Is "But you're already awake..."
