3· city lights ·part 1

let her go maybe it's apprehension the thought of not belonging or not knowing whether you'll be remembered after you close your eyes loud voices begging for some attention but all it comes out is "obnoxious" every bus intersection every paths that crosses are filled with lights and lone figures the couple holding hands the traffic lights glowing scarlett red and the emptiness that fills these souls he barely travels a mile his story in his smile and the way he bows his head the light fades from his eyes or were they just the city lights? silences are always filled with frowns and empty warmth reflections of people and headlights, cannot describe this cold and twisted night oh, winter don't come back again we cannot see the beauty of you so let those frosty tears fall down your pale face because let's face it winter is the chilliest month, but the warmest with him. you wish he was beside you now but he's gone somewhere far away he knows he's lost you but that doesn't mean he can't lie awake thinking about what you meant to him he can still dream, so why can't you?
