Bunny Girl
girl's flesh like sponge cake, soft and sweet. we'd lay on the floor of my bedroom from when the sun would fall till it'd rise again. our kisses reeked of vodka, but we didn't need it to get tipsy. her fingers touched my neck, just like my lips touched her cheek. we boggled the world, we were unspeakable, unimaginable, we were insane. girl's smile was like a slice of apple pie. i'd lusted for her. loved her wholly, no exception. but as the days grew on, her desire shortened. Bunny's interest in me had faded, it flaked. just like the nail polish she wore for our first dance together. the first time we stared into each others eyes, and we knew this should be forever. lady's pinkie had promised, told me i was her everything. "you've made this time the best i've ever had," she'd said as she bit her lip. as she laced her fingers in my hair.
and i cried.
