Mother: Lost Daughter

Celebrated like a feast, your arrival was. Gifts were given, many pictures were taken.

But then the coming years were all measured. Your grades were rated, your characters were corrected, your smiles were under valued.

O those days of comparison, As if you were here to compete the whole world, as if there were nothing left in you but to be better, While no one knew that you've lost in connection.

You lost your inner self, in order to serve their measures, of who and what you are supposedly, no matter how far you are from the reality.

O darling daughter, May you find your way home To whom you truly are, above the puzzles of your broken heart.
