Brick Wall

Brick wall is there to protect me.

Mighty, strong, and tall.

I always run into you.

You’ve never cushioned my fall.

Why are you so mighty.

Why are you so tall.

I wonder why they made you.

I wonder that’s all.

Unfiltered. Uncut. Raw.

I know why we’re here.

I know why we exist.

I know why we hurt.

I know only this.

So when I get scared of knowing the answers. I’ll lose myself in the questions.

Was I the one who put you here?

Now empty my head of these fears.
