Swimming Out of the Cosmic Soup

Q.R. QuasarInspired

I remember what it was like a mere moment ago when none of us, none of this, was here.

I remember the void inside that first ball of fire and how the fire broke out all across space, twisting, twisting, twisting into cooler form.

now, amidst this fever, I, thinking liquid, remember that other blast when all was seething plasma and what I used to be moved so fast, I couldn't think to breathe, fighting my way to the surface of light, clawing for the air of radiance.

now the drowning comes only in spasms. I, Universe, have broken through... I, Ocean, swim in my own light.
