Abandoned Harbour

A club without members opens tonight in the clammy wharfs its ships are fractured wrecks the seamen are rats

in its warehouses from its gantries expressions hang forward from faces the masks of laughter and weeping

hooks of cranes dangle darkness into corners where gangs of silence plot muffled entry through water to lost documents of departure.
