the badness
of our good morning
her long stories out of nothing
an unkind mind
to put in order
but not because of owning it
talking in the room of being
and every part of work
proving a plague
You make me lose my mind.
It's not like you do much,
Just talk and acknowledge me,
But I still think you're one of a kind.
What kind of music do you like?
Rain, sun or night?
Do you prefer the scooter or the bike?
Would you talk to me for the rest of my life?
Can you wiggle your ears,
Or curl your tongue?
Do you like dogs or cats?
Or maybe even bears?
What's your favorite color?
Is it red or yellow or blue?
I'd really like to know,
So please tell me a bit about you.
Can I tell you something?
You mean the world to me,
You're never off my mind,
I love you for everything you let me know,
And everything I'm yet to ask.
I love how you look when I speak,
How you hear the words I say,
How you think and then respond,
How you treat me like an equal.
I love how you joke with me,
You talk with, not to me,
You answer no matter how strange-
I ask a lot of strange-
I want to meet your family,
Want you to meet mine,
Want to see you eating dinner
i hate talking to you,
but i wish our conversations never end.
the pain of hating the one you loved so.
I am pieces of quotes
From my favorite books
Stitched together by midnight conversations
And the sweet taste of Tea
I have this tendency
to fall apart suddenly
And i need you to be okay with this
Because am created by the souls
Who are brave enough
To gather all my tattered pieces
And put me back together!
When we talk on the
telephone, we feel our
loss more heavily.
i stare at the
slits, the box that
sells her voice to
me.
i hold the phone
like a live thing, like
part of her. it holds
a sound i love.
yet i hate the
upright coffin, its
pimply walls,
the printed admonitions
lining it, for being
We all agree to miss the point,
at certain times
to start again
(We work so well together, friend
Ignore-ance
serves a purpose
none of us can mend
the name refers for use
dog chair wall you
demand response
each hears his way
but knows the category general
here's a chair so sit
in talk we seek
to know grasp words
as means
but in the poem
they are also ends like dance
the chosen china
or when in the dusk we put
our chores away and share
some talk a book
the hush
The storm broke, and it rained,
And water rose in the pool,
And frogs hopped into the gutter,
With their skins of yellow and green,
And just their eyes shining above the surface
Of the warm solution of slime.
At night, when fireflies trace
Light-lines between the trees and flowers
Exhaling perfume,
The frogs speak to each other
In rhythm. The sound is monstrous,
But their voices are filled with satisfaction.
In the city I pine for the country;
In the country I long for conversation —
Our happy croaking.
I would like to have a word
with you. It is apricot.
It shall determine our exchange.
Confiding apricot, I will lean in
and murmur. You shall pose
as one who understands.
I will have a moment of your time.
There’s something I’ve been meaning.
To tell you. Apricot, I tell you.
Apricot, I say. Apricot, you realize.
