Headlights
you are driving too fast and i do not think
that i can catch you, or slow you down
or grab the keys right out of your hand before you
careen towards the place you called home
or scream at the drivers behind the headlights
blinding you as they speed around your rough edges
a million miles an hour along the side streets of your mind.
