At my office I change the office.
A good mind thinks
a good argument
to do other-
wise.
I tell my mind
to the barber,
put things in order
to go away.
For kindness I stumble
and tell not heart but harp,
give the country of my mind
some night notes.
Within my mind
a mind I long to tame—
a left boy, a little Hercules,
the king of ham.
I find trouble
and learn nothing.
But I am a little
pleased at this nothing,
my no that is no.
Mentally
Exhausted,
Not Living On The Inside,
Temporarily
Alone,
Living On The Outside.
And
Busted
Up In
Side.
Eternally Gone.
I am listening.
The loudest, the most persistent
is the hum of the ceiling fan.
Cawing crows
Horning cars, rumbling trucks
Voices from across the street
Parvati moving about in the next room -
And the slow intake of breath into my lungs.
I turn my ears inward.
Conscious of myself tapping at the keyboard
The cursor blinking.
The little black line, going on and off
On and off, on and off
And waiting, patient.
I am emptying my mind – or so I would like to believe.
It's Midnight and I'm thinking of you.
I wish I could sleep
But my mind races to you at random moments of the night.
I wish you would vanish from my mind so I can finally get a good night sleep.
Tugging at our minds,
Always an arms length away.
Waiting, lingering...
Invading our thoughts,
Clouding our minds.
Obscuring, repelling...
Beckons us closer,
But steps backwards.
Deceiving, conniving...
Steps right up to us,
Then disappears.
Gone, forever...
somehow, the things that once drowned out the voices
screaming in my head
no longer work.
She is the girl called X ,
small and quaint
strong and sweet
but no one will ever know that .
because physically she is not special
on the outside
she is the girl called X
on the inside she is a glaxay of stories
a mind full of love
and a heart full of beautiful blemishes
but you will never know that
because she is the girl called X .
Do it
Says my mind
Nothing bad can happen
But my heart closes
Afraid of being hurt again
A sudden fear comes over me,
A knot forms in my stomach,
My eyes then close,
As I know what’s coming,
A head sensation unlike the rest,
Fear being prevalent,
Thoughts seemingly slow down,
Continually becoming more intense,
Praying the sensations will dissipate,
That it’s only a dream,
Until I feel them evolve,
No longer do I feel free,
I stare straight into nothingness,
Unable to speak or move,
Words non-comprehendible,
To others just appearing spaced,
