in the park
they lease new buildings
where the morning grew
they do all the hurt they can
the more a man serves
the less he finds of joy
like the death of so many things
to make me content in my life
who is in mourning
who with an ear is not
but not seeing how to help it
I walk to the park
to the great elm
and walnut filled with stories
and in a ruined garden
a little girl singing
among sorrowful stories
the green agreement of the park
I walk to walk
pass by the dead unburied dogs
white deer
the park is troublesome
with the dust of war
we come to the park
with a barber’s cruel hands
but the land’s new contractor is a mole
and it is out of light
I am going without speaking
the doors to the park sing old
broken notes
At the park, a loud beggar
like the queen of Bohemia—
raven at play.
I look for joy and find a garden,
walk in the park endeavoring
to get into the inward park,
carry people over
through the common bed.
Mr. Hater and I
go forth to the city
and get money by bringing
all business into our hands.
I walk in the park
giving light in my way,
which put me
into despair.
Bet for beer, I put
the white king
in the park at night.
drinking wine in the park
the dog dancing as I look
over the paper
Drank my morning quiet and my noon-time stew:
a study for a ring for a wedding for old soldiers
in the dark in the park where a far flock played.
