I guess our problems in life are a little like rainstorms:

You start with a drizzle Which doesn't seem too bad And is bearable

Then the storm hits And you feel like there will never be a way out

But you have to remember, Every rainstorm ends

I guess I'm just trying to figure out if I'm in a rainstorm Or simply headed for an eye of a hurricane

And you look through all these photos Spread out Showing all the things you've been through in life Capturing that still moment of what you care about to never forget it

And they can mean one of two things: How much you've lost Or how much you've grown

Life is all about perspective

I know I can be loud And obnoxious And annoying And stubborn

But I care so much about the people I surround myself with But with so many people leaving me It's hard for me to tell If the problem is with people trying to cut me at my roots Or if it's something with me that I can't see

She looked back Going through her whole life until now

And she found out why songs never sounded the same Why orchids were her favorite Why she loved to dance Why singing made her smile And why just stopping to breathe helped her recap

Decisions make us even if we don't see it

"You're beautiful," He whispered

And then she fell apart

"It's just a bad day," She always told everyone

But nobody ever considered that she was more reassuring herself than others

She smiled and laughed to numb her pain But just like all medicine It wore off eventually

She pushed away her feelings Blocking the world from her hurt soul The fresh and tender sores of her heart

Because she had gotten hurt too many times to let just anybody in

Maybe that's why people thought she was heartless

When honestly She was only just hidden and still beating more than anybody would know
