World's gone beautiful;
Yes, the world's gone beautiful.
The flowers bloom
And the sun shines brightly,
While death slowly opens the door.
All we have is time;
Yes, all we have now is time.
Look to the future
While the past lurks nearby,
And we can't tell what'll be in store.
World's gone beautiful;
Yes, the world's gone beautiful.
We count our days
And we count our blessings,
For we don't know we have much more.
It all gets clearer;
In the shallow waters, children play
Crashing waves all night and all day
Beautiful shells, colorful fish
For what more could one wish?
Then you go deeper, into the open
Where whales roam and ships lay broken
Filled with multitudes of life
With which the ocean is rife.
Deeper still, into the abyss
Where light dies and things seem amiss
Monstrous things with long, jagged teeth
Swim all around in the underneath.
Then there is the bottom of it all
It's there that you feel so very small
No man can go that deep
Down where lies the things that sleep.
It seems today
That the world is run by difference
Things that set us apart
Are both beloved and scandalized
It makes one wonder
Why exactly that is the case
A fear of the unknown, perhaps?
Or even worse, of change?
Deep down inside
We are all the same, no?
What does it matter how you are
In comparison to your fellow person
Or are we?
One could argue that
Every person is unique
In their own special way
Outside my house there is a hill
That I would often climb
And on this hill, throughout my life
I would find different ways to spend my time.
When I was young, it was for the adventure
For who didn't like a little fun
And I was a warrior, tried and true
There was never a battle I hadn't won.
As I got older, it was more to see the view
And sit in quiet contemplation
Or perhaps write a poem or paint
As it did give me inspiration.
But now I am truly old,
And I can barely climb this hill.
Sometimes it feels like it's not worth it;
Each time I try, I'm met with a chill.
The Sun looks lonely…
Then again it has the Clouds,
Like the Moon has Stars.
Rain’s smell in summer,
How it looks on the pavement,
How it feels on skin…
It's the music you listen to at night that matters
Do you ever wonder if you're really enjoying something?
If you even can really enjoy something
You're on this beautiful island
Only 48 hours left
And wondering: Can I really enjoy this moment
Can I appreciate it with all my heart?
Do you know this feeling
That feeling of sorrow
Sorrow in your heart, a lump in your throat
Knowing there are only 48 hours left
So you stand there
At midnight
Stand on the balcony and look at the ocean
Listen to the wind
That's when the feeling starts
You try to stretch the time
Do you ever think about it?
About our luxury lives?
Do you ever think about the costs?
About the costs of our luxury lives?
Do you ever want to change it?
Change your way of life?
I don't think we ever think nor want to change
Change the way of our luxury lives
You talk so much of busy trains,
the heat, the harsh florescent light
and how they fall upon the brain.
I would have thought that such a sight
would be a poet’s paradise —
the many varied histories,
the pointless pockets of a life
all written on the identities
of passenger faces. Each look
reveals another form of you
returning the gaze; and each nook
conceals the chance for something new.
But, perhaps, you only perceive
the busy train you want to leave.
I say " I'm never going to do that again "
But i did
I say " I'm not scared anymore "
But i am
I say " I'm hard to catch "
But I'm not
I say " my heart is strong "
But it is not
I hope my heart is strong as my brain,
I wish my brain teach my heart.
I pled my heart accept like my brain,
But then i realised both my brain and heart
Are useless stupids.
Water flows so fast but
They can't match my thoughts
Disturbing my mind
Birds sang so sweet and louder
I looked up
That orange bright light made my day
Lighting up me and world
Telling me to let down everything go
As it goes
