If someone can kiss the scars.
Administer the pills.
Absorb the bad days.
And wake up smilling next to me.
Then, i can try to breathe again.
So, when i told you.
That loving you almost make life worth it.
I was not joking.
When i tell you.
That loving you almost make me forget how i hate myself.
It is not a poetry.
In a world of double meanings and spiderweb lies,
I just want someone who remembers to dust the dark corners and let in the light.
We are not two halves of a whole,
we are two wholes that love to nuzzle.
I have learnt to love you,
coaxed from my shell like a frightened puppy;
I have built my home around you
and the ease with which you smile.
The warmth of your presence a cheerful reminder,
my heart has found home.
I've always been too cold to the touch,
back against the wall, forcefield up.
You've always been the melting point,
volcanic force, lava in your gaze.
I've always wondered,
which is stronger, fire or ice?
I think I have my answer as our fingers intertwine.
All the parts of me that bruised have healed,
When you trace the scars, they form a constellation;
I've nicknamed it Sirius,
In hopes it shines as bright.
Long to be loved,
It's the greatest, isn't it?
To find a soul that plays your rhythm.
I count your scars,
The ones you've got to mark your strength,
Lazily I draw an "X" over your heart;
Here, right here is where I'll leave mine.
The only real thing you gave is poetry to rattle my bones.
When you offer me your love,
Do not offer it halfway and insist I see the glass half full,
I am not a reservoir.
Do not tell me to walk on coals to meet you;
To brave the tides, taking the first step by blind faith,
I cannot do that, my box of excuses has reached its limit.
If I cannot see your love, shinning on the darkest nights
Then do not offer it to me at all.
It is weird that you're the fixed point on which my world revolves,
No Matter how many heartbreaks and unrequited love,
I always wonder back to you,
To our moment, and it's good for a time,
For a time you aren't drifting away,
For a time you're choosing me.
In those moment, I seem to forget that it's temporary,
This love of ours.
It's just a jump start for another three hundred and sixty five days without, wondering why you never choose to stay.
