My Choice

Have no faith Have no hope Always writing poems That contribute one note One of silence One I cannot say Told to keep isolated Having no other way Forced to stay quiet Forced to shut down Abandoning my control Letting fall my crown

Just something I thought of during class. The message to this one is basically just saying that someone had forced me to stay quiet for so long about so many things (mainly my opinions) and it changed me quite a bit. Now I struggle talking about my ideas and perspectives. Though it's gotten a lot better thanks to someone who has helped me talk about things more openly. I hope this poem helps whoever needed to hear it to realize that shutting out your voice is letting go of your crown. You're very powerful, don't let words rust you.
