By The Child

Laughs, light, and twisted smiles If only it was seen by the child.

Surrounded by covered faces If only it was known by the child.

Love turns hate If only it was detected by the child.

Games turn to fate If only it was undiscovered by the child.

Walls learn to stay strong If only it was controlled by the child.

Happiness be not a blanket If only it was worn by the child

Love be not a mask If only it was learned by the child.

If the dark is seen as light Let it be seen by the child.

If something called love should exist Let it be made by the child.

And if love could stay forever Let it be proved by the child.
