Face in the Crowd

Imagine being a Face in the crowd An unremarkable Unrecognizable Indistinguishable Devoid of uniqueness Face in the crowd, Why are you there Nobody knows Nobody cares Everyone else is a Face in the crowd Surrounded by people And yet so alone You might as well be On a desert island Devoid of all life But you're not You're sitting up there In the nosebleeds Waving your arms Trying to be seen Screaming as loud As you possibly can Trying to be heard But it's no use Because you're just a Face in the crowd Until you go home.
