sacrificed

He made a choice. One for himself not her. To give her peace. To give her meaning. Yet it was mistaken.

You said I have an ego. Well this is honestly true. But, I have one. Based on what you do.

I say fall for him. Because I'm not the best. But that's not enough.

You want to hurt me. And sacrifice your happiness. Have you seen what I've done?

I love you. From day one. To now. So I gave what I loved away. What can I say. Maybe it wasn't ever mine to betray.

So I send you off with flowers. And words of true regret. But remember that I loved you. That's a promise. Not a threat.
