X - The memory of fireflies in May

The cold ground of Scotland is too frozen for fireflies.

They search a warm evening to enjoy the nature, dancing in the darkness of the woods.

They light up the black sky when the stars sleep and the Moon looks them from the clouds.

I remember those tiny lights, flying silently in the backyard, a comfy May twilight. I noticed one on my shoulder, a tinker bell from the tales.

I thought how hard is hiding the whole day just to twirl at night.
