That Boy? Oh Yeah, That's Me

There once was a boy Who had an admiration for another boy That admiration soon changed into true love This boy, He thought Is perfect in every way He has brown luscious curls Deep blue and green eyes And a voice so smooth and low He makes me want to kiss him But this boy The one whom he loved very much so Didn't love him In fact he didn't like him at all And when this other boy The one who liked him Said 'hi' on the playground, shyly He ignored him He went back to his friends He would walk away with the other guys And pretend to not look at him The boy who was so hopelessly in love Felt hurt and rejected Like he was nothing Like he had no meaning And so the boy who was so hopelessly on love Cried for hours at a time Hoping that maybe if he changed a little The boy would like him. So the boy dried his tears And was determined to make him fall in love with him He pinned up his now longer hair at night His brown roots beginning to show under all the red dye He would take his bobby pins out of his hair And watch as his new curls trickled down his shoulder And felt better about himself He put on a hint of blush So the boy would notice his reddening cheeks He even curled his hair once or twice To make it more curly He put on makeup to hide his small dots of imperfections To make himself look pretty But in the end This boy he was in love with Could care so much less about what the other boy looked like
