A speaker looks back on a hard year and decides they have become a worse version of themselves. They list what has faded: happiness, humour, niceness, kindness. The opening "Hmmm..." sounds like someone pausing to take stock, and the offhand "Not that you care" hints at hurt and a belief that nobody is paying attention. Even so, the plea "Teach me how to feel again" shows they haven't given up completely.
The imagery is mechanical and sickly. The speaker calls themselves "a poorly wired circuit," as if feeling has short-circuited, then says life "coughs on your face" and makes you ill. That leads to the blunt claim "I'm poison." The final line, "So love at your own risk," works as both a warning and a dare. The mood is bitter, tired and numb, with a little vulnerability underneath. The speaker pushes people away while quietly wishing someone would stay.
