An Instant

How long is an instant? A second? Five seconds? I don't believe, not a bit, In instance, instant, How long, how much, Itty bitty time, Does it take for, That one instant moment, Where pain, angst, Horror, realisation, Sorrow, recollection, Comes crushing together? In that little time, Of suffocation, struggle, You say, it's instant, No pain, no pain, So hard to die, Without knowing it, You wouldn't know, How that instant felt, So, tell me, How long is an instant? I really don't believe in it, It's so contradictory.
