The speaker is falling for someone who doesn't fit what she thought she wanted. The opening lines list his looks, dark hair and dark eyes, and then dismiss them as "everything I never liked." It sounds like a woman reminding herself of her own rules, right before she breaks them.

What wins her over is his voice. It is so deep that she says "there's no way out," which makes the attraction feel less like a choice and more like being caught. There's a hint of both thrill and helplessness in that line.

The ending shifts into surrender. She imagines him calling her "baby" or "yours," and then gives him open permission: "whatever you please." The mood is breathless, intimate and a little reckless. The short lines and plain wording make it feel like a confession, as if she's admitting something she hasn't quite decided how to feel about.

If I love you, can I trust you? If I see you, are you with me? If I hear you, are you talking? If I'm with you, would you leave me?
