Rebecca
I saw your face, I was going to say "Hi" But I shied away. I don't know why. You seemed troubled to me, As though your mouth was stitched shut, A place that I had once been, A place where I struggled to get out, I recall that you were troubled. Then one day You had disappeared, To where or why I did not know And it's too late to say that I cared. You were gone but I kept searching for your face, In the crowds of uniformed people, I kept searching for your face, In a crowed of named strangers, I still search for your face. You never came back And I have my guesses as to why But these guesses seems so wrong in my mind, When I don't know where you are, I think back to 2 years ago And I don't know where you are. But I did care, Once upon a time And know only that, I was a stranger, But I did care.
