I said that I loved you, I don't think I ever did I'm listening to the faucet drip, it's become the heartbeat of my life time is passing and I remain filed with strife I cared for you as best I could but when you fell I just stood you gotta pick yourself up if the world knocks you down you just lay there defeated, while I held my ground you reached your hand out but I had already turned you screamed that you had been slighted, that you had been hurt but your a quitter, you give in when the fight is to much I was tired of taking the beatings while i tried to help you stand I'm not your kickstand, I'm just an average man while you lay defeated, I turn and leave, there's nothing left I said I loved you but, I don't think i ever did
