Middle School for the Anti-Socialite

Peter PanContemplative

Walking down hallways People look through you Not knowing the names of those who look at them. The watchers know their names They won't care about yours No one really gives a damn. Those that give a damn, smile They care to make your day brighter You smile back. Your brief smile ends, you walk on Class has almost started The day's a never-ending cycle. The never-ending cycle will not be changed All fear that with the change will come uncertainty Those that care don't want that. Those that care are the real middle school socialites Who are up to date on the gossip And who care about how nice or pretty they look. Since they care about what they look like people envy them for their looks But they would never admit it For fear of being called out. When they are called out it's by evil teachers, mean students too They want to embarrass you and scar you mentally for life You wish they had a taste of their own medicine. While wishing they had a taste of their own medicine, the bell rings Looking down you realize you didn't take notes You sigh, get up out of your seat, and walk through the door to the hallway. Walking down the hallway People look through you Not knowing the name of those that look at them.
