With one glance you held me captive. Your stunning blue eyes shone brighter than lightning, your heartbeat drums in my ear, your breaths shallow as I run my thumb across your knuckles.

Even now I can still your voice, your shadow haunts my days.

Every day I can feel you, hear you, yet you linger just beyond the fringes of my vision. You're gone, and I don't know what I'm supposed to do. You were my sun. My world revolved around you, but the sun has burst. You were my moon; the light in my darkness, but the moon no longer shines, and all I'm left with is the stars. Our memories just out of reach; twinkling in the distance with no hope for intumescence.

Forever alone without you to guide me through the never-ending and all-consuming darkness
