Illusionary Silence

socially_averseContemplative

The silence that ensues thereafter The storm that once prevailed Is so timeless, and yet unnatural For it is unlike any other

After what seems years of the raging noise The tranquil silence reverberates around And even as I sink into its embrace It dissipates into nothingness

I snap awake, come to my senses The silence was never here I never realized just how welcome it was Until the storm drove it away....
