Women's history month poem
The way she carries her body Like it's something not to be messed with But yet so gentle Like it's something you wish to be blessed with
The way her voice rises and lowers when she talks It's calming like listen to the waves roll in and out The way her voice flows when she sings It's like something's pulling you in, trying to get you to look at what it sees
The way she dresses Like she's not trying to impress anyone because she doesn't need to try And yet she doesn't show any skin, not because she has something to hide, but because what she presents to you through her smile and laughter is pleasing enough for the eyes.
The way she is so faithful without any shame or insecurity It's welcoming like a warm, cozy cottage in a winter storm It's always open for debate and discussion, and for hugs afterwards
This is the kind of women I wish to be
